Parmesan cheese, also known as Parmigiano-Reggiano, is a hard, granular cheese that is typically made from cow’s milk. It has a nutty, savory flavor that is sharp and slightly salty. The texture of Parmesan cheese is crumbly and granular, with a hard rind that is typically not eaten. It is a versatile cheese that is often used to add flavor and texture to  variety of dishes, including pasta, risotto, and salads. Typically aged for a minimum of 12 months and up to 24 months.
