Baby corn is usually about 2-4 inches in length and has a neutral, subtly sweet flavor with a satisfying crunchy texture. Due to its neutral taste, it is primarily used to add a bit of crunch to a recipe, but its bumpy surface is adept at absorbing the flavor of other ingredients in a dish.

Fresh baby corn usually only keeps for 3 to 4 days but can be pickled or frozen to last a year or longer. Can also be added fresh to salads or used to compliment various cooked vegetables or meats.
