BASIL

A popular sweet herb of the mint family whose leaves resemble those of the Peppermint plant. Basil has highly fragrant leaves which are used in seasoning herbs in an array of cuisines. The herb is very rich in phytonutrients and low in calories, making basil an excellent healthy flavor amplifier in many entrees. 

Storage Tip: Trim the stems and place them in a glass of water. Loosely cover the leaves and store at room temperature.
