Belgian red endives feature a torpedo shape, tender white leaves with red or burgundy edges, and crunchy texture. Its taste is a combination of both bitter and sweet flavors, and can be grilled, braised, sauteed, or added to soups or salads. Braise in butter to mellow the bitter taste.

Available year-round, hitting peak season in the winter months.
