Environmental Monitoring
- Cloud-based, environmental monitoring system to ensure proper storage temperatures for food safety
- Continuously monitors temperature and humidity in each of our 14 temperature-controlled zones
- Monitoring points are in the warmest area of each room with their own customized warning system
- Alerts, alarms, and real time monitoring overseen by warehouse management via app
- FDA compliant reports are auto-generated weekly and reviewed by the food safety team
- Compliant with US FDA 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines to meet data integrity and reliability standards
Truck Routing & Safety
- All trucks are equipped with Samsara GPS Vehicle Gateway that communicates real-time GPS tracking, uses a built-in WiFi hotspot, and sends live engine diagnostics
- Quality and Food Safety features: the food storage compartment of trucks is equipped with sensors that continuously monitor temperature and humidity. Real time data is viewable and historical data is easily retrievable
- Driver app utilized by warehouse personnel loading delivery trucks to inspect for cleanliness, damage, temperature, etc. and ensure it is safe for food transportation
- Loaders use app to take photo of food compartment after loading is complete, ensuring trucks are loaded properly and product will not topple over during transit
- The GPS vehicle gateway is a certified ELD by the FMCSA
- Samsara Driver App is used to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- GPS tracking allows our dispatch team to provide accurate ETAs to customers
- Each truck is equipped with two-way, wide-angle AI dashcams to monitor driver safety
On-site Generators
- Both J. Ambrogi Foods and Kristy Kuts facilities equipped with Kohler commercial generators that allow us to operate around the clock in the event of a power outage
- Provides a reliable source of backup power (and peace of mind!) in case of an outage, ensuring that operations can continue without interruption
