"To Enrich the Lives of Delawareans with Intellectual DisABILITIES."

J. Ambrogi Foods and Kristy Kuts are proud sponsors of the DFRC in their mission to advocate for those living with intellectual disABILITIES. Whether that be through our involvement in their signature fundraising events or annual contributions, we believe the DFRC’s work provides life changing opportunities and promotes understanding of the individuals they serve.

What started as a volunteer opportunity in 1992 has grown into a partnership spanning over 30 years. We will always continue to show our support for our “buddies” through generous donations on behalf of our customers – giving those with disABILITIES the opportunity to live independently and maximize their potential.

Our Partnership

For more than 20 years, Jerry Ambrogi was a pillar of love and commitment to the DFRC family. He served in many capacities throughout his time with DFRC, first as an Assistant Coach in 1992 and 2002, and as Chairperson of the Athletics Committee from 1995-2001. As a result of his dedication to DFRC, Jerry was selected by his coaching peers as Head Coach of the 50th Anniversary Game in 2005.

When Jerry first joined the DFRC family as a coach, he was introduced to some of the buddies at one of DFRC’s events. When he attended the DFRC Hand-in-Hand Picnic, he had a chance to interact, have fun and get to know some of the buddies. From that day forward, Jerry’s life was changed forever! He looked forward to every event and every chance to spend time with the buddies. He quickly realized how extremely life-changing the DFRC Hand-in-Hand pairing was.
As a senior advisor to DFRC, Jerry continually offered valuable advice and guidance. He served with tremendous pride and was a strong advocate for DFRC’s Hand-in-Hand Program. Jerry realized that all contributions to DFRC had immense power, enriching the lives of so many people who were intellectually challenged through grants to so many different programs and services.
